The Alamo
The Alamo is our largest and longest-range locomotive designed to handle the most extreme ridership demands of any venue. A 2-6-0 "Mogul" design inspired by the beautiful full-size V&T "Empire" locomotive on display in the California State RR Museum, she can pull a fully loaded train all day and fully recharge in just 5 hours overnight.
Two forward-facing drivers (or a VIP) sit comfortably in the cab, and with her massive battery packs tucked neatly inside the boiler, her trailing tender provides the option of additional VIP seating or, an industry first... a cooling mist system for your passengers in the coaches! It is literally cool.

The Alamo carries an amazing 104 kilowatt-hours of lithium-iron-phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries that can pull 6 fully-loaded coaches over 120 miles with more than 18 hours run-time on just one full battery charge!*

All of our LiFePO4 battery packs are sealed and maintenance-free. They are designed to be safe from fire and collision damage and are computer monitored and controlled at all times to ensure maximum capacity and efficiency. All you do is plug it in.
Our standard 7-inch full color data display in the cab shows key status and alert messaging.
